In 2005, I gave my life to Jesus and, in March 2014, God led me to attend the Epworth League Texas Spring Break Mission Trip where God realigned me, now as an adult, with His good ways and will. Since that trip, God has continued my sanctification through Servant Community church, Living Word Fellowship church, and Epworth League events, trips, Bible studies, small groups, and programs.
In spring of 2016, God led me through a time of discernment regarding my
path upon graduating college in May 2016. God eventually then led me to decide to participate in Epworth League’s Summer Discipleship program. The Lord changed my life even more through the summer program, where he provided an abundance of tangible ways to actually experience and live out what it means to first serve and not be served.
Furthermore, during the Summer Discipleship Program’s Epworth League Expedition, I had a life-altering conversation with the director of a trailer park ministry we worked with for a day in Cody, Wyoming. In that conversation, God directed me to the clinical mental health counseling program at Moody Bible Institute. Through the rest of the summer’s activities, camps, studies, and discussions, God reaffirmed my decision to begin the master’s program at Moody that fall and to continue to grow the music ministry for Servant Community and Epworth League.
