For the first trip of the summer program, you'll get to travel to the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan - where there's endless amounts of trees and waterfalls to see. Usually one of the first bonding experiences of the summer, participants get to know one another through serving together during the day, hiking in the afternoons, and discussing various topics at night.

Typically, we partner with churches and organizations in and around the little town of Ironwood, Michigan. The last couple years, we have served at a pregnancy crisis center, helped the US Forest Service at their tree nursery, helped an older adult split wood for his furnace in the winter, and even painted window frames for a local church.

We typically stay in a large vacation rental home nestled in the heart of the woods, where we prepare and enjoy many meals together and get to know one another more.
